An exciting event is coming to South Philadelphia on September 21st! In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Latinos Educando Juntos (LEJ) is hosting the Hispanic Literacy Festival & Community Baby Shower.
This free event will feature children’s book readings, live music, free book and baby item giveaways, raffles, food trucks, and more!
“A lot of our books are in English and Spanish. Providing books at home is essential so families can read to their children every night,” said Damaris Alvarado-Rodriguez, president of LEJ. “We’re also excited to give away over 25 big items, like car seats and playpens, while promoting safe sleep practices.”
